Usually, the Chardham Yatra embarks from Yamunotri and further proceeds to Gangotri before finally reaching Kedarnath and Badrinath. Each of these sites is dedicated to different Hindu deities.

Yamunotri

The first site of Yamunotri is dedicated to the Goddess ‘Yamuna’ flowing through the charming Rawai Valley. Here you will see a dark rock from where natural hot springs emerge, called the Divya Shila. It is said that a bath in the holy water of the Yamuna River washes away all your sins.

Gangotri

The next destination of Chardham Yatra is Gangotri dedicated to Goddess ‘Ganga’. The shrine here looks beautiful overlooking the River Bhagirathi. The temple here was raised by a Gorkha Commander during the 18th century. The temple stands at an unimaginable height of 3042m and oozes seamless serenity. Here you can partake in grand Ganga aarti apart from enjoying its untouched surroundings.Get Tour Quotes
