Badrinath Temple

It said that Badrinath Temple was set up by the saint, Adi Shankaracharya in the form of a black stone idol of Lord Vishnu. Badrinath Temple also has mentions in the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Lord Vishnu in India. The main temple gate is painted with vibrant colors. Inside the temple you will see idols of many Hindu devotees apart from the image of Lord Vishnu. Travelers can visit here only from November to April end as during other months roads to Badrinath remain closed due to harsh weather conditions. The temple houses a Tapt Kund which is a hot water spring having medicinal values.

Charanpaduka

Charanpaduka is a rock with imprints of Vishnu’s footprints. It is at a height of 3380 ft and can be accessed by taking a difficult trek. Devotees believe that this is the place where Lord Vishnu set his foot first time on the planet earth. Vasudhara Falls

Take a short yet beautiful trek to reach this Vasudhara Falls at a height of 12,000 feet above sea level. The waterfall cascades from a height of 400 feet and its water looks like pure milk gushing down from the mountain top. It is believed that water of this fall does not fall on the wrongdoers.

Satopanth Lake

Satopanth has a mythological past. It leads to the Swargarohini peak which is believed to be the place from where Yudhishthir and the dog were sent to the heaven according to the Mahabharata. Satopanth Lake charms the heart of visitors with its pristine waters and spectacular views of nature around it. Temporary tents and caves have been set up along the lake where tired travelers can rest for a while.

Yogadhyan Badri Temple

Yogadhyan Badri Temple is the Holy abode of Lord Kuber and Lord Udhava. Here you can see a meditating idol of Lord Vishnu which is said to be set up by the Emperor Pandu, the father of the Pandavas.Get Tour Quotes
